Descent Into Madness

Going forward, we can expect two kinds of madness becoming increasingly prevalent. We'll see increased peer pressure for the vaccine, and we'll see smart people making increasingly absurd claims as to the true nature of what's going on.

Both of these phenomena will be driven by fear and uncertainty. People who have taken the vaccine will seek safety in numbers by insisting that everyone else also takes the vaccine. This is based on the flawed logic that the majority is always right, and that it's better to be wrong together than wrong alone. The clever ones will also rationalize their decision. Any evidence that suggests that they may be wrong will be construed into an argument in favour of their decision. This will in turn be parroted by vaccinated complicity theorists, eager to shore up their confidence in what they've done.

As an example of the sort of flawed logic we'll see in increasing measures going forward, we have this piece in the Guardian. It starts off by presenting the fact that vaccinated people have a higher percentage chance of getting seriously ill from the disease, only to make a hypothetical jump into a world where everyone is vaccinated. What follows is a lengthy consideration of that imagined world. The real world data is never honestly considered, because they show the vaccine to be beyond ineffective.

The journalists who co-authored this piece have no doubt taken the vaccine, and are now rationalizing their decision through a complex web of flawed logic and obfuscations. This includes Lucifer's inversion in which the young must sacrifice themselves to the old so that the old can live a few more years at their expense.
