People are becoming increasingly relaxed about the virus. That's clear from direct observation. The trend is noticeable in the streets. More and more people are dropping the mask.
This is something we need to encourage so that the next wave of propaganda becomes as ineffective as possible, and the most effective way to achieve this is through example. The mere act of walking about, relaxed and happy is contagious. It's a sign of physical and mental health, and therefore something that everyone wants to emulate.
The more people we manage to relieve from their fear, the harder it will be for fear-mongers to reinstate the sort of fear that we've seen over the last 18 months. This will be especially true if we back up our fearless demeanor with the fact that the virus isn't very dangerous.
On the other hand, we need to build on the sense of dread that is starting to spread among the vaccinated. Whenever confronted by a vaccinated person, we need to point out that the vaccines aren't effective against variants, nor are they tested for long term side-effects. But this must be mellowed down with a message of hope. We must point out that the vaccines fade over time. There's little to worry about, provided we don't take any of the boosters.
The overall message should be that the vaccine is a bigger risk than the disease itself, and that the vaccine wears off so that we can all return to the old normal once the hysteria subsides.
With the new normal being a dystopian world of checkpoints, vaccines, and surveillance, it's easy to paint a picture of the old normal as something worth returning to no matter what our vaccine status may be. Who wouldn't rather live in the relative freedom that we had back in the 1980s than under the encroaching tyranny that we are seeing today?
