I woke up with a sore throat this morning. It's the typical start to a cold, and it didn't come unexpectedly. My son and wife have been coughing for a few days now, and my mother in law has had a light cough for several weeks. None of them are very ill, and I hope to be equally lucky.
My wife tested herself the other day and came out negative for the plague, so we can assume that the same is the case for the rest of us. This is nothing more than the common cold or a light flu.
I'm not keen on the whole testing thing, but it came in handy for my wife who was called by her pro-vaccine brother the other day. He wanted to know if her cold could be the plague, and my wife could confidently tell him that it isn't. But he went on nevertheless as if the vaccine is some kind of cure all. He told her to take the vaccine anyway, just in case. However, that narrative is unraveling. He's just slow to pick up on the latest news.
Health officials in Norway and England are telling us that the virus will soon be reclassified as largely harmless. It will be bundled together with colds and flus, and treated accordingly. This comes after Sweden and Denmark have done the same. As has often been the case before, Scandinavia exports pragmatic solutions to the rest of the world, wrapped in language designed to take the sting out of the remedy.
The official wording is typical. Lip service is paid to the vaccine so that policy makers are given a way to save face, but the conclusion is definite. There's no need for any of the measures pushed by totalitarian control freaks.
This is a clear message, similar to how the Goths operated in Roman times. There's a proposed solution on the table. Those who follow it will be able to save face. Those who reject it will reap the consequences. There will be no mercy. They will have to take full responsibility for whatever damage they make from here on out. No-one can any longer claim that they are merely acting out of caution.
It appears that the Goths are about to return, as I've been predicting for some time now.
