One of my favorite webcams is situated on a peek on La Palma. It overlooks the volcano, and I like to check it every now and again to see what the eruption looks like from a distance. Every now and again, hikers come into view, and I'm amazed to see how many of them wear their masks. They're in the middle of nowhere, yet they feel a need to protect themselves from a virus by wearing a magic mask. The stupidity of it is mindboggling.
Unfortunately, this kind of mental rot is now so widespread that no-one can escape it. Kids are now told to wear masks at my son's private school. I had hoped that the recent outbreak of the virus at the school would have had the opposite effect. Seeing with our own eyes that the virus was completely harmless should've had us conclude that life can continue as normal. However, the fearful gang won out again with their call for tighter restrictions on everybody.
Meanwhile, politicians are giving the all clear for kids to be vaccinated. Their argument being that this will protect other people. This is Lucifer's logic, pure and simple. Politicians are sacrificing the young for the old. Things don't get much more satanic than this. Yet, the fearful will no doubt comply. They will bring their children to the vaccination centers in the hope that the demons in their heads will somehow vanish by this act of evil.
However, all is not lost. My wife went out for a coffee with a colleague yesterday. They sat down in a restaurant where vaccine passports are mandated by law. My wife wasn't aware of the situation. She thought she was in a café where unvaccinated people are still allowed to sit down undisturbed. But the waiter set her straight. My wife excused herself, and made ready to leave. However, the waiter stopped her. Seeing that her colleague was unfussed about her vaccine status, he told them that she could stay. Seeing that it was unlikely that any of the people present would snitch on him, the waiter decided to ignore the law.
It's good to see that there's still a bit of courage left in the world. We've not all descended into madness and moral decay.
