The Uneven Expansion of Earth
The fact that cosmic rays will have a tendency to enter a plant through its magnetic south pole rather than its north pole can explain why Earth has expanded more south of the equator than north of it. However, it does not follow from this that expansion is due to accumulation of matter. All that can be said is that there is more energy directed towards the magnetic south pole compared to the north pole. The result of this will be an uneven expansion regardless of whether this is due to accumulation of matter or an increase in internal pressures. The fact remains that the amount of matter absorbed by Earth each year is vastly insufficient to explain the expansion.
