Climate Predictions

The strength of a scientific theory lies in its ability to predict future events.

In light of this, its interesting to compare the two main theories of climate change.
  1. The Anthropogenic Global Warming Theory has repeatedly predicted warmer weather and the disappearance of snow and ice.
  2. The Sunspot Theory has predicted colder winters with more snow and ice.
In his History of Earth's Climate, published in 2013, Bent Hansen makes the prediction of harsher and colder winters arriving by 2020. This is based solely on historic records and forward estimates of sunspot counts.

With unusually cold weather events currently happening all over the world for the second year running, Bent Hansen's paper is well worth a read.
