Four hundred years ago, Galileo Galilei made the following two observations about the world:

1. The laws of nature are written by God in the language of mathematics.
2. All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered.

I wonder what he would have made of modern science where everything is mathematical, yet nothing is easy to understand.
