How to Vote

There are more ways than one to make a vote, and voting at the ballot box is the lest effective of them. Far more effective is to vote with our feet. If we don't like the way things are going, move to another place where things are better. That other place may not be farther away than the next county.

Another way to vote is to withdraw support for a system that we no longer believe in. This can be done easily by withdrawing cash from whatever it is that we find suspect. Sell what is over priced and buy what is cheap. Should everything seem expensive and/or suspect, buy gold.

Voting with our feet can improve things far more than any vote at the ballot box. Not only for ourselves, but for the affected counties as well. We are better off, and the effect is directly felt at the county councils.

The same can be said about voting with our investments. If no-one can be trusted with our savings, gold can be bought and hidden away until things improve. Conversely, if we like the way things are done, we can show our appreciation by investing in it. The effect will be to our benefit, and it will punish and reward the financial system in ways that no ballot box vote can achieve.

Taking control of our lives in this way comes with the added benefit of increased self esteem. We are acting directly to change the world to our liking, bypassing the political class. The sense of empowerment that comes with this can be hugely satisfying.
